- Abstract: The aim of the present work is to improve the corrosion behaviour of aluminum matrix composite with reinforcement of boron carbide and Rice Husk Ash (RHA). The different weight percentage like 4.25, 4.5, 8and 9%wt of boron carbide and 2, 2.5, 3.75, 5 and 7.5%wt of rice husk ash were added for reinforcement. The casting process of aluminium metal matrix was made by stir casting process. Aluminium chloride is the solution to examine the corrosion behaviour of aluminium metal matrix by using immersion test. It is used in automobile and aircraft industries with reduced weight and increased corrosion resistance. The overview indicates that the developed method is quite successful and there is a decrease in the value of corrosion rate with increase in weight percentage of reinforcement.
