Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries: Constructing Patch‐Ni‐Shelled Pt@Ni Nanoparticles within Confined Nanoreactors for Catalytic Oxidation of Insoluble Polysulfides in Li‐S Batteries (Small 34/2019)
Abstract : In article number 1902431, Xiangcun Li and co‐workers prepare a Pt@Ni core–shell bimetallic catalyst based on a confined catalysis reaction in porous carbon spheres. The synergic effect facilitates catalytic oxidation of insoluble polysulfides to soluble polysulfides. Electronic migration from Ni to Pt becomes a driving force for Ni activating Li2 S molecules by promoting the transformation of Li‐S‐Li to Ni‐S‐Li, which is more active for the subsequent reactions.
