- Abstract : In article number 1900047, Helena M. R. Gonçalves, Verónica de Zea Bermudez and co‐workers employ a straightforward, clean and cheap synthesis method to produce a nanofluid composed of glucose‐derived carbon dots functionalized with a thermotropic ionic liquid. The nanofluid exhibits self‐regeneration, non‐Newtonian behavior, UV‐Vis blocking ability, and plasmonics‐boosted optoelectronic features. A thermotropic device and a thermotropic/electrochromic device incorporating this nanofluid have applications in energy‐efficient smart windows.
