- Abstract : The cover feature picture shows the concept of photoenzymatic regeneration of NADH from its oxidised form (NAD + ) by combining deazaflavin photocatalysts with a putidadoxin reductase (PDR). The photoexcited deazaflavin mediates electron transfer from a sacrificial electron donor to the NADH regeneration enzyme (PDR). The latter then selectively reduces NAD + to 1, 4‐NADH, which in turn can be used, for example, for the stereoselective reduction of carbonyl groups into alcohols.
