Abstract

Abstract : The cover picture shows the sign control of circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) of enantiopure oligopeptides bearing two pyrenyl groups and methylene spacer reversed by changing solvent. Chiroptical signs in the photoexcited state (ES) and the ground state (GS) of chiral luminophores in solutions are not predictable because differences in the surrounding solvent molecules in ES and GS exist. To elucidate the solvent effects, we designed enantiopure oligopeptides bearing two pyrenyl groups with/without methylene spacer thereof and analysed solvent dependence of excimer‐origin CPL/PL spectra with CD/UV‐vis spectra in eight common organic solvents.
