Abstract

Abstract : Organometallic Complexes Metallodrug targets in cells: Organo‐osmium arene complexes can exhibit potent anticancer activity. It is now important to elucidate their mechanism of action by identifying their target sites. In their Communication on page 2512 ff., P. J. Sadler et al show that the ESRF synchrotron ID16A beamline nanoprobe allows organo‐osmium to be mapped by X‐ray fluorescence with high special resolution and sensitivity in subcellular organelles of cancer cells at pharmacologically‐relevant doses, as well as its effect on the distribution of natural elements such as P, Ca and Zn.
