- Abstract: Powder metallurgy processing is an adaptable method commonly used to fabricate Multi Walled Carbon Nanotubes Aluminum (MWCNTs/Al) nanocomposites because it is a simple method of composite preparation. In this research paper Functionalized Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes (f-MWCNTs) with different weight percentage (0.1%, 0.5% and 1.0%), were reinforced into pure Aluminium (Al) matrix using powder metallurgy route in order to prepare f-MWCNTs/Al nanocomposite. Density analysis of the nanocomposite shows that mass density of the nanocomposites increases with increase in weight percentage of f-MWCNTs and also with increase in milling time. The hardness value depends highly on mass density, wt% of f-MWCNTs, milling time and also fine structure of the nanocomposite.
