Abstract: Oxyapatite Ca2 Y8‐x (SiO4 )6 O2 :xBi 3+ (x = 0—2.5) phosphors are prepared by sintering stoichiometric mixtures of CaCO3, H2 SiO3, Y2 O3, and Bi2 O3 in air (1400 °C, 6 h).
