Abstract

Abstract: This organizational performance analysis involves one religious organization in a large U.S. metropolitan area that has experienced diminished attendance numbers and employee morale over a period of several years. The study is to analyze current human resource policies and procedures to provide suggestions of improvement to employee morale and organizational performance. The qualitative research approach was based on personal observation of the organization's employees and weekly worship services. Casual and structured conversations were conducted with key personnel who provided valuable insight into the climate and culture of the human resources within the institution. It was discovered that the organization has little to no formal human resource managerial or developmental practices in place. Based on the findings, suggestions are made to promote a stronger work environment for existing employees, which in turn could promote the institution's revitalization.
