- Highlights: With an assistant from an optical pumping laser, (2) 1 Π 1 ← X 1 Σ + electronic transition is distinguished from (4) 3 Σ + ← a 3 Σ + and (3) 3 Π + ← a 3 Σ + transi- tions in RETPI spectrum. Global assignments of vibrational transitions among (2) 1 Π 1 ( v = 3 − 20 ) X 1 Σ + ( v = 0 − 5 ) were presented. Spectroscopic constants of (2) 1 Π1 and X 1 Σ +, including energy separation, harmonic and anharmonic constants, are simultaneously derived. A map of Franck-Condon factors between X 1 Σ + ( v = 0 − 9 ) and (2) 1 Π 1 ( v = o − 25 ) vibrational transitions are plotted, supporting further optical pumping for accumulating absolutely ground state molecules. Abstract: We present resonance enhanced two-photon ionization (RETPI) spectrum between 14, 500 and 15850 cm − 1 for ultracold ground state 85 Rb 133 Cs molecules. With an assistant of optical pumping from one 1070nm laser, ( 2 ) 1 Π 1 ← X 1 Σ + electronic transition is distinguished from ( 4 ) 3 Σ + ← a 3 Σ + and ( 3 ) 3 Π ← a 3 Σ + transitions. Some observed RETPI spectra are globally assigned to vibrational transitions from X 1 Σ + ( v = 0 − 5 ) to ( 2 ) 1 Π 1 ( v = 5 − 20 ) . Based on these assignments, the spectroscopic constants of X 1 Σ + and (2) 1 Π1 are simultaneously derived, including energy separation, harmonic and anharmonic constants. Then a map of Franck-Condon factors between vibrational transitions of X 1 Σ + ( v = 0 − 9 ) and ( 2 ) 1 Π 1 ( v = 0 − 20 ) is plotted based on these constants. Our present work would be meaningful for continuous accumulation of ultracold 85 Rb 133 Cs molecules in the lowest vibronic state with further optical pumping. … (more)
