Abstract

Abstract : Gamma curve is a mapping relationship between the electrical signal of the display image and the output optical signal, which is very important in production. Manufacturers can achieve the visual effect of displays they want. Therefore it is meaningful to explore the influence which gamma curve has on image quality. This paper is aimed at measuring gamma's JND (Just Noticeable Difference) of LCD display by perceptual experiment, establishing image quality assessment model containing gamma based on JNDs and figure out the contribution of gamma on image quality.
