Abstract

Abstract : Since the introduction of the Flood Studies Report by Natural Environment Research Council in 1975 there have been a number of changes to the methodology for calculation of extreme flood events at reservoirs. Therefore when presented with historical reservoir flood studies, reservoir owners and panel engineers may wish to understand the extent of changes that have occurred to the methodology since these flow rates were calculated. The table below is a quick reference guide to the changes that have occurred since 1975.
