- Abstract: This study scrutinizes the impact of a ferromagnetic dipole in the flow of a nanofluid boundary layer flow past a stretching cylinder. Two different nanoparticles i.e. single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) with ethylene glycol as base fluid are used. The flow is induced in the attendance of gyrotactic microorganisms and chemical reaction. The perception of introducing microorganism in the nanofluid flow is to stabilize the suspended nanoparticles. The novelty of the erected model is enhanced by considering the impacts of the partial slip and the thermal and solutal stratification. Appropriate similarity transformations are affianced to attain the nonlinear system from the boundary layer system of equations. The numerical solution of the erected model is attained by using the bvp4c built-in function of MATLAB software. The graphical results depicting the impacts of arising pertinent parameters versus involved distributions including velocity, temperature, concentration, motile microorganism profiles, Skin friction coefficient, local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers and motile density number with physical insight are also given. It is seen that density of microorganisms declines for larger values of bio-convection Peclet number for both types of carbon nanotubes.
