- Abstract: Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) is an inflammatory bone disease that very rarely affects the skull. A 11-year-old girl had recurrent episodes of headaches and periocular swelling. Imaging identified inflammatory lesions in the right frontal bone and left third rib and no evidence of infection was identified on biopsy. The disease was controlled with long-term prednisolone, methotrexate and pamidronate therapy. CRMO in the orbit is extremely rare. Detailed investigation is important to ensure that diagnosis and treatment are given in a timely manner. Maintenance of disease remission may require a combination of multiple therapies.
