- Abstract : In the second of this 4-part series we will discuss the removal of teeth closely related to the maxillary sinus, with identification and reduction of risk factors for oro-antral communication and the management of complications. CPD/Clinical Relevance: Posterior maxillary teeth can be intimately related to the maxillary sinus. The Dental Team should be able to provide oral healthcare procedures avoiding interference with the normal function of the paranasal air-space, but also need to be able to identify and manage complications when they arise.
