- Abstract: The article discusses radially inhomogeneous thick-walled cylindrical shells in which inhomogeneity may be due to various reasons (structure, the effect of the temperature field, etc.).Thick-walled shells are called equal-stressed, if the principle stress σ1 in all points of the body is constant. In inhomogeneous body, in addition to the elastic modulus of a material, its strength can also variable. In accordance with the first theory of strength, if the stress σ1 is variable and at each point the strength of the material is equal, then the thick-walled shell is called equal-strength. The article discusses the modelling of equal strength concrete thick-walled shell with free ends.
