- Highlights: PIE sample analysis with a 3D full core model. Nuclear data uncertainty propagation. U1 PROTEUS sample. CASMO, SIMULATE, SNF. Abstract: In this paper the isotopic content of the U1 sample is re-analyzed taking into account the full irradiation environment with a 3-dimensional core simulator. It is found that by accounting for the neighboring assemblies as well as the various axial segments, the agreement between the measured and calculated isotopic concentrations is greatly improved. Additionally, the sample burnup is impacted (reduced) compared to the previous studies. Varying nuclear data and code versions, an estimation of uncertainties is proposed. Finally, remarks about the U1 relevance for the estimation of the biases for assembly averaged quantities are presented.
