- Abstract: We propose a method to control the skyrmion motion in an angelfish-type racetrack composed of triangular regions of reduced magnetic anisotropy using an alternating current (AC) magnetic field with nanosecond ordering. The method is verified in micromagnetic simulations from which we found that the maximum velocity of the skyrmion is 11 m s −1 . Moreover, the direction the skyrmion moves can be reversed using the phase of the AC magnetic field. The results presented here offer a promising route to designing non-volatile memory and logic devices that utilize skyrmion motion.
