- Abstract : A global gene expression analysis of S. putrefaciens CN32 cells within the diffusion layer of the microbial fuel cell anode with surface controlled reaction reveals an electrical tension-triggered conversion of anaerobic to aerobic respiration, which represents the nature of the biofilm. Abstract : A global gene expression analysis of Shewanella putrefaciens CN32 cells nearby a nanostructured microbial anode reveals an electrical tension-triggered conversion of anaerobic respiration to aerobic respiration with increased excretion of flavin electron shuttles and cytochrome C proteins, which sheds light on the role of electric tension in cell organisms.
