Abstract

Abstract : (Abstracted from Genet Med 2019;21:2285–2292) Noninvasive prenatal screening (NIPS) with analysis of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) is a procedure that tests for fetal aneuploidies. This testing has been available to women in the United States since 2011, and in 2016, the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) released specific recommendations for laboratories to follow when administering this testing and reporting results.
