Abstract

Abstract : (Abstracted from JAMA 2020;323(1):49–59) The International Agency for Research on Cancer has concluded that use of mineral talc-containing powders, sometimes used by women on their genitals, has "possible" evidence of carcinogenic risk. Case-control studies have demonstrated a significant association between the ever use of powder in the genital area and ovarian cancer; however, these studies may have been limited by recall bias and a surge in media coverage.
