- Abstract : The Cover Feature illustrates the danger of electrolyte decomposition in supercapacitors at high cell voltages. This necessitates the careful assessment of the electrolyte electrochemical stability window by protocols reflecting realistic application scenarios such as, e. g., constant voltage lifetime tests. A detailed overview of all suitable methods and cell setups (including a guide towards the right choice of working and reference electrodes) can be found in the Minireview by A. Varzi, S.
