- Abstract: A new Aurivillius Bi5 Ti3 Fe0.5 Ni0.5 O15 compound was prepared using the conventional ceramic technology. The features of the temperature dependences of the dielectric constant ε ′ and the dielectric loss tg δ were studied in the temperature range from 300 to 750 K. These dependences indicate a significant conductivity contribution to the ε ′ and tg δ as well as the presence of a relaxation process. The ac conductivity was calculated, the hodograph of the impedance of the sample was plotted, and the activation energy of the dielectric relaxation process was estimated. A comparison of the activation energy of the total electrical conductivity and electrical conductivity in the grain bulk showed that the electrical conductivity of the studied compound is mainly due to the electrical conductivity of the grains boundaries.
