Abstract

ABSTRACT: On 23 June 2014 an earthquake of magnitude 7.9 strongly hit the Aleutian Islands. This earthquake deviated the Adak AB21 CORS site from its assigned NAD_83 (EPOCH 2010) position coordinates. The novel contributions of this paper are a performance analysis of AB21 CORS site and ADK IU accelerometer for the precise measurement of the 23 June earthquake and the North American tectonic plate movement. The present version of HTDP software does not include a seismic motion model for the Aleutian Islands earthquake. The revised AB21 CORS site position coordinates are also used to update HTDP software measurements.
