- ABSTRACT: In this paper, we propose a numerical solution of the Benjamin–Bona–Mahony–Burgers equation (BBMB) based on finite difference scheme of sixth order. It is proved that the scheme is convergent. The existence and stability analysis of numerical solutions are discussed. The method is applied to several examples and accuracy of the method is tested in terms of L ∞ and L 2 error norms. Furthermore, the numerical results have been compared with some other methods.
