- Abstract: Present study investigates the tribological behaviour of Aluminium-Titanium Diboride (Al7075-TiB2 ) Metal Matrix Composites prepared by stir casting process. Various weight percentages (0, 3, 6 and 9%) of titanium diboride of 13–14 µm grain sizes uniformly mixed with aluminium with the help of mechanical stirrer. XRD analysis reveals the proper mixing of titanium diboride particles along with aluminium matrix. Non lubricated dry sliding wear tests were conducted at various applied loads (10, 20, 30 and 40 N) with constant sliding speed of 300 rpm and travelled sliding distance of 2000 meters for each specimen and applied to all casted composite specimens.
