- Abstract: Shape memory polymers (SMPs) are the smart materials which are widely used these days. This paper mainly focuses on how to enhance the mechanical and thermal properties of the shape memory polymer also improve the shape recuperation of the shape memory polymer. This can be done by various means. For example by incorporating CNTs, TIC, SiC etc. in the shape memory polymers. Shape memory polymer composite based materials are widely used in various fields such as medical and biomedical devices, self-mending systems, self-deployable structure, sensors and so on or their immediate execution in the industry are finally sketched.
