- Abstract: The Hip joint is the main joint of our body which connects the upper portion of femur to pelvic which is responsible for the movement of the body. Hip fracture depends upon the strength of bone as well as the impact forces applied From past studies we got to know that the percentage of hip fractures are more in old persons and it is also a main cause of disability. In this study static structural analysis of Hip joint is carried out for the different varying bone properties according to the age of the individual. We found that the stress distributions in all the three cases are the same but there is a variation in the displacement at the hip joint. It is also proved that elderly people are prone to hip joint fractures.
