- Abstract: The demand for Aluminum metal matrix composites has been growing and to make it a better performable material, studies were going on to improve their properties. Though different conventional methods were adopted to produce aluminium metal matrix composites, powder metallurgy proved to be efficient in eliminating the problems such as porosity, wetting and casting defects. Optimizing the milling and sintering parameters was reported by researchers to achieve superior properties through powder metallurgy technique. This review is an attempt made to consolidate the results obtained by various authors whose work was contributed in fabricating aluminium metal matrix composite through powder metallurgy technique
