- Abstract: Under partially shaded conditions, solar photovoltaic (PV) array power–voltage (P–V) characteristic curve will show multiple peaks, and maximum power point tracking (MPPT) by using fuzzy control algorithm is easy to fall into the local optimal solution. In view of the above problems, an improved maximum power point tracking algorithm is proposed based on the fuzzy control method and the differential flatness control theory. Firstly, the output voltage of the PV array increases linearly by using the differential flatness control, and the maximum power point voltage is found. Then the fuzzy control algorithm is used to stabilize the output voltage of the photovoltaic array. The feasibility of the algorithm is verified by MATLAB simulation and hardware experiment.
