Abstract

Highlights: The use of mobile learning in social studies promotes game-based learning, student engagement, and student collaboration. Inclusion of mobile learning in social studies enhances historical thinking skills. Mlearning in social studies supports learners in evaluation of primary and secondary sources and understanding causation. Mlearning in social studies supports learners making connections over time, and contextualization of events. Mlearning in social studies supports learners in making inferences and understanding multiple points of view.
