Abstract

Abstract : This article reviews the first volume to be produced by the Coranica project, undertaken under the joint aegis of the Agence Nationale de la Recherce (ANR) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). Codex Amrensis I, by Eleanore Cellard, is compiled on the basis of fragments of a Qur'an codex from Fusṭāṭ. This article analyses some of Cellard's findings, and comments on some of the spellings identified by the author, giving some suggestions for corrections.
