- Abstract : In article number 1901820 by Sebastian Seiffert and co‐workers, degradable vaterite/PEG‐composite microgels are templated by droplet‐based microfluidic technology. A key aspect of the material development is the fundamental understanding of the gel structure‐property relationships, and their connection to tissue engineering, by tailoring the microgel properties on micro‐, meso‐, and macroscopic levels. The co‐encapsulation of cells provides an in vitro platform for metabolic bone regeneration studies and a step towards new bone tissue regeneration materials.
