Abstract

Abstract : Most aspects of cellular life are regulated through specific protein–protein interactions. Classical methods to investigate or manipulate such interactions are based on the shutdown through orthosteric ligands that block the active sites. Alternative methods to modulate protein functions and protein–protein interactions based on the view that a protein is a dynamic entity are summarized in the Minireview by G. Colombo and S. A. Serapian on page 4656 ff.
