Abstract

Abstract : A three‐dimensional thin‐shell infrared artificial compound eye (IR ACE) micro‐optical component was realized by femtosecond laser‐assisted micro‐manufacturing and nano‐imprinting with thermoplastic IR‐selective material. The resultant IR ACE sample integrates more than one thousand high‐quality micro facet lenslets over its extremely large viewing angle. The outstanding IR spectrum selectivity of such minimized component makes it competitive in IR imaging and target positioning.
