- Highlights: Asian ocean health is in jeopardy. The causes are due to overfishing, pollution, acidification, transportation and climate change. The ocean health goals and socioeconomic variables are used to develop a health production function. Semi-parametric regression models are developed. All variables positively influenced Asian Ocean Health status with Biodiversity having the most influence. Policy makers can use the information in developing strategies to improve ocean health.
