Abstract

Abstract : In article number 1906225, Qingsong Mei, Yong Zhang, and co‐workers navigate energy migration of lanthanide activator ions in a novel dumbbell‐shaped upconversion nanoparticle along favored transition pathways at specific excitation wavelengths, resulting in orthogonal emission properties. Such specially designed nanoparticles are further explored for simultaneous imaging of latent fingerprints and analyzing trace amounts of explosive residues in fingerprints.
