Abstract

Abstract: Since the early 1990s, Gehry Partners has pioneered the development of digital design. The firm's approach to digitally enhanced architecture necessitated the creation of Gehry Technologies. Here, Frank Gehry, with former Gehry Technologies chief executive officer Meaghan Lloyd and chief technology officer Dennis Shelden, describe the motivations, history and implications of these efforts for practice and for the profession.
