- Abstract: Effective elastic modulus for the three different types of composites are calculated by using micromechanical approach. Three different types of unidirectional composites: AS4/3501-6, E-glass/MY750 and AS Carbon/epoxy are taken in the present analysis. Micromechanical model, an efficient tool for evaluation of the overall properties of the composite materials are used to determine the elastic modulus. Finally the present results obtained from micromechanical approach are compared and validated with experimental data available in the literature
