- ABSTRACT: The focus of the current study is on the elimination of Al(III) ion from aqueous solutions by adsorption onto Mn-Fe2 O4 nanoparticles loaded on activated carbon (Mn-Fe2 O4 -NPs-AC). Mn-Fe2 O4 was synthesized by conventional co-precipitation method and then characterized using SEM, FT-IR, XRD and EDX techniques. The emphasis of the current study is on the optimal parameters that have been determined such as 2.5, 50 min, 50 mg, and 40 mg/L for pH, equilibrium time, adsorbent dosage and initial concentration. The obtained equilibrium data have best been fitted to the Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin, and Dubinin–Radushkevich (DR) adsorption isotherms ( R 2 = 0.9975).
