- Graphical abstract: Highlights: Two novel compounds were isolated from Tripterospermum chinense . This type of terpenoid indole alkaloids was reported for the first time. Compound 2 is the fourth-reported iridoid tetramers with four glucosides. Abstract: Tripterospermumcin F (1 ), a novel indole glucoalkaloid, and tripterospermumcin G (2 ), a new iridoid tetramer, were isolated from the aerial parts of Tripterospermum chinense . Their structures were determined by analysis of 1D and 2D NMR data, as well as by comparison with model compounds. Their cytotoxicities were tested, but neither of them showed obvious activity.
