- Abstract:
- Abstract : Having a chronic medical condition puts a child at increased risk for anxiety disorders, a recent literature review has found. While the anxiety may be associated with adverse outcomes related to their disease, this isn't known, the researchers said. Furthermore, the anxiety itself may have an effect on the outcome of their condition. As a result, they recommend screening for — and treating — anxiety in all youths with chronic medical conditions.
