- Abstract: A metal-free one-pot method for the synthesis of N -(1 H -benzo[ d ]imidazol-2-yl)benzamide derivatives was proposed mediated by CBr4 . The reaction went through ring formation and opening processes with only two protons leaving and the thermodynamically favorable products were selectively formed in moderate to good yields.
