Abstract

Abstract : In recent years, topics such as sharing economy and circular supply chains have emerged in production research and operations management. To explore them and tackle the associated challenges, we need to acquire a full understanding of decision-makers' strategic behaviours as well as the deployment of sophisticated analytical methods such as game theory. In this article, we concisely examine the meanings of sharing economy and circular supply chains in production research. We then introduce the featured papers of the special issue and highlight the major insights developed. Future research directions are discussed.
