- Abstract : Nanostructured catalysts for low-temperature ammonia synthesis have been developed via thermal treatment under nitrogen of Ru-containing MOFs. Abstract : Nanostructured catalysts for low-temperature ammonia synthesis have been developed via thermal treatment under nitrogen of Ru-containing MOFs. The resulting catalysts reveal high concentration of small Ru nanocrystals (<4 nm) well-dispersed on a graphitic carbon shell demonstrating stable ammonia formation rates at low temperature. Additional acetylene pre-treatment leads to more dispersed active catalysts containing stable sub-nanometric Ru clusters.
