- Abstract : K2 V3 O8 undergoes a non-topotactic but reversible phase transition between monoclinic KV3 O8 and tetragonal K2 V3 O8 during the electrochemical depotassiation–potassiation process. Abstract : When tested as the cathode material for potassium-ion batteries, K2 V3 O8 delivers a highly reversible capacity of over 100 mA h g −1 in the voltage range of 1.5–4.5 V with 73% capacity retained after 50 cycles. Charge–discharge is achieved by a nontopotactic process between K2 V3 O8 and KV3 O8 (Δ V ∼ −23.4%), causing the slow capacity decay.
