Abstract

Abstract : Relaxing living kidney donor criteria allows donor pool expansion, but the risks to marginal donors who are both older and hypertensive are not well defined. This single-centre study of donors compared post-nephrectomy changes in blood pressure and estimated kidney function stratified by age, gender and the presence of hypertension. Data from an additional group of hypertensive older patients undergoing unilateral nephrectomy for malignancy were also analysed.
