- Abstract: Renewable energy sources (RES) always have strong randomness and intermittency, and their uncertain factors have increased the difficulty of microgrid capacity allocation. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the uncertainties of RES during the microgrid planning period. In this paper, we propose an optimization model based on life cycle cost of distributed generation to address this problem that the capacity configuration of island microgrid system, which consists of photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine (WT), diesel and battery. Aiming at the uncertainty of RES, we propose a multi-objective robust optimization model of island microgrid capacity configuration based on an information gap theory. An example is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of this model, the results of which show that this model has a good economy and robustness.
