- Abstract : Front Cover : In article number 1900020 by Jan Blankenburg and Holger Frey, the cyclic aminal hexahydro‐triazine is employed as a "sacrificial" initiator for the anionic ring‐opening polymerization of epoxides, generating three‐arm star polymers. Acidic hydrolysis of the star polymer core gives convenient access to well‐defined α‐amino‐ω‐hydroxyl heterobifunctional polyethers, which are useful structures for PEGylation or surface modification. The triazine‐based strategy translates to merely one single "CH2 " moiety as a protecting group per amino group.
