- Abstract: Pigs are becoming increasingly important models for human diseases. China is building a National Swine Research facility, aiming to have capabilities for comprehensive phenotyping of pig models. The facility is now under construction by China Agricultural University. CAU has proposed an initiative of pig model project, which, at its ultimate aim, includes production of knockout pigs for 25, 000 genes, phenotyping of all lines, and translational researches.
